225 West Faris

A furnished 1925 home off Augusta Road, with its own guest cottage, available to lease this winter.

The main house

A house close to everything in Greenville.

We've lived here since 2019 and are moving across town this winter. Before we sell, we'd like to lease the house furnished to someone relocating to Greenville and wants time to get to know the city before buying.

The house sits about a mile from Falls Park and a few minutes from both Prisma Health Greenville Memorial and Bon Secours St. Francis. The driveway comes in off Argonne, the quiet side street, so day to day you never pull out onto Faris.

It also works well if you're renovating a home in the neighborhood and want to stay steps from Augusta Circle while the work is done.

  • Main-level primary suite with a soaking tub and walk-in closet
  • Three more bedrooms upstairs, each with its own bath
  • A fifth bedroom on the third floor, set up as a bunk room, with play space
  • Kitchen with a butcher-block island, prep sink and wine fridge
  • Keeping room with a fireplace, plus a scullery and walk-in pantry
  • Original pine floors through much of the main level
  • Screened porch with an outdoor fireplace and gas heaters
  • Wine cellar on the lower level
  • Brick patio and outdoor dining under an old magnolia
  • Whole-home generator

Your capital stays invested and you don't lock in today's mortgage rates. If you fall in love with the place, we're open to a purchase option.

These are estimates for illustration, based on buying the house and side lot for $3.5 million with 20% down and a 30-year jumbo loan near 7.45% (October 2026 averages). Taxes assume the owner-occupied rate. Your own numbers will differ.

The guest cottage

A separate home of its own

The old detached garage is now a full guest cottage with its own entrance and a one-car garage. Inside are a kitchen with a GE Café range, a vaulted den, a loft bedroom, a full bath and laundry. It opens onto a screened porch and a garden with fig trees.
